President's Welcome Message

This month's Newsletter and general meeting are both the last for the Kelowna Newcomers Club year 2009-2010. There is no general meeting in June, which is the month for our wind-up party.

The AGM, now reduced to a single meeting, will take place at the usual venue on Wednesday 21st July at 7.30 pm. (This will be a short meeting to elect the KNC directors for the year 2010-2011 and to present the financial report. Refreshments will be served - of course!)

It has been a pleasure and an honour to be your President for the past year and I would like to thank my fellow directors for their help and encouragement. I would also like to thank our activity coordinators who have worked tirelessly over the past year to arrange and run an array of interesting and fun activities for us all to enjoy, some of which will continue throughout the summer months.

As Michael and I move up to Plus Threes (the KNC alumni club) we will look back fondly on our three years as members of the Kelowna Newcomers Club and cherish the memories and the friendships.
