Five-Pin Bowling
The Bowling League meets every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from September until May at the Capri Lanes in the Capri Shopping Centre. Cost is $11 per person (3 games) each week and includes shoes. There is a once a year fee of $25.00 for the end of year banquet and prizes. New members and spares are ALWAYS welcome. Sparing is a great way to start bowling as this will allow you to find out more about the league. The only pre-requisite is a desire to meet new people and have fun.
Coordinator:
Ladies' Book Club
This is a fun group that gets together on the second Monday of the month to discuss current books of interest. The group selects 10 books to read and discuss from September through June.

Ladies' Bridge
The Kelowna Newcomers Ladies Bridge Group meets on alternate Tuesdays beginning September 14th, starting at 12 noon with a brown-bag lunch; the hostess provides the beverage and dessert. All levels of bridge players, from novice to advanced, are warmly invited to participate. The gathering is for making friends as much as playing bridge.
Coordinator:
Ladies' Coffee Morning
This ladies group meets year round for coffee on the first Wednesday of the month, from 10.00 am to noon. Each month, a member volunteers to host the gathering in her home, and others bring goodies to go with the coffee and tea. This is a casual event to chat over coffee. All ladies are welcome.

activity that you have signed up for. They may be waiting for you or
saving you a seat. Your call will be very much appreciated.

Men's Bridge
Men's bridge is for men who just like to play bridge and have fun. Hosting is done by each member in turn. The group plays every other Thursday, at 7:00pm -- beginning September 16th. We have a number of outside people we can draw on for spares. Additional members are always welcome.
Coordinator:
Men's Golf
The Golf Group operates as an informal clearing house or list manager for members wishing to find golfing partners. The golfers list is updated and distributed by e-mail or at the KNC meetings. Members must make their own contacts and arrange their own Tee times. Special events or mini-tournaments may be organized when sufficient interest exists. There is no fee for the group, other than paying their green fees. Many promotional packages are available in the Kelowna area, which can reduce playing costs. Members should contact the facilitator with any e-mail changes or other information they wish to share with the group.
The Men's Golf Outing Group attempts to get together weekly as a group during the golf season to play courses throughout the Okanagan valley. Tee times are reserved about a week ahead at various courses and individual members call the course to book against those tee times. Usually we can only reserve the tee times up to 5PM two days before playing at which time unused tee times revert to the golf club.
Coordinator:
Men's Lunch
On the second Wednesday of every month, between 11:30 and noon, we meet at a designated restaurant. This group continues to meet through the summer.

We will try to conduct the tours on the 3rd or 4th week of each month (except December). The following are possibilities: Kelowna Flight Craft, Newspaper, CHBC Television, Airport, Museum, Winery, Pacific Safety, Gellatly Nut Farm, Riverside Sawmill, Fire Department, Campion Boats, Astro-Physical Observatory, Black Mountain Water, Agri Research Station, and others. Your ideas are encouraged; email me with your name, address, telephone, email address and your suggestions of where you would like to tour. This is a great chance to see and learn more about Kelowna. (This group does not meet during the summer.)
Coordinator:
Walking Club
The Walking Club meets every Thursday at 9:30am in the winter and at 9:00am in the summer for walks in different areas of Kelowna of approximately one hour in duration. A list of each month's walks is available through the coordinator. This group meets all year round.

Wine Club
The Wine Club introduces members to the wonderful and varied world of wine. Tasting groups are formed consisting of about 8 members. Group members take turns hosting and providing simple foods for their group’s tasting. Each month the Wine Club coordinators will choose representative wines from various regions of the world. The coordinators provide each group leader with the selected wines and tasting notes. Group members evaluate and rank the wines of the evening, and then leaders collect and send the results to the Club coordinators. When all the results are in, the coordinators send out a report reflecting the evaluations and ranking from all the groups. (This group does not meet during July and August.)
Coordinator:
No Show Policy
The Club has occasionally had no-shows for events, which cause a shortfall in
funds. Certain events such as tours that require reservations or a minimum
number of participants, or the Christmas or Wind Up dinners where the club is
required to commit funds in advance, will require payment in advance at
sign-up. Where possible, we will give members a month's notice of such events.
Possible Groups
We always welcome suggestions for new group activities. Groups can be formed if
there is enough interest and someone volunteers to coordinate the group. Please
